The American military delegation headed by U.S. Armed Forces Army Europe Commander 4-star General David McKernan will make a three-day visit to Ukraine. The Cabinet press office reports.
The goal of the visit is to discuss issues on further cooperation and development of friendly relations among units and elements of the Ukrainian and US Army Forces, the Defense Ministry press-service reported.
Within the framework of the visit the parties plan to set mechanisms for fulfilling measures in cooperation between the Army Forces of the countries for 2008-2009. Besides, representatives of the defense agencies are to consider issues related to providing the Ukrainian party with advisory assistance to reach inter-compatibility amid units and elements of Armed Forces Allied Rapid Reaction Force of Ukraine under NATO standards.
