First Vice Prime Minister, Finance Minister Mykola Azarov met with US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, the Government's press service told.
William Taylor hailed the Ukrainian Government on passing all the bills, necessary for Ukraine's accedence to the WTO. We saw a clear bid of the Ukrainian Government and nation to complete Ukraine's accedence to the WTO, "Cabinet press office" informed.
Mykola Azarov stressed that all the bills were passed the way it was agreed by the working group. We have followed a complicated path and have overcome handicaps and now expect some positive responds, Mykola Azarov said.
The US Ambassador to Ukraine inquired the Government's plans in view of poor crop, expected in 2007.
Mykola Azarov stressed that Ukraine has encountered unfavorable climate, which have cut the expected crop. We will face neither grain deficiency, nor boost of price for bread, Mykola Azarov said.
He also stressed that the Government is interested in preservation of export potential of Ukraine. Therefore, the export limitation will be imposed only if a need be.
Presently, the Government along with grain traders monitor the situation.
