The International Children's Center "Artek" was granted the status of a center under UNESCO's aegis, 2nd category. The relevant agreement was reached between the Government and UNESCO on May 30, the Government's press service told.
This event will promote fulfillment of a large number of projects and programs. The Government will also finance the programs.
The International Children's Center "Artek" is situated in Gurzuf, Yalta region, Crimea. It operates 10 camps and fulfills over 20 projects of national and international value.
