
Ukraine will have to invest over 10 bln.USD in transport infrastructure developing to be well prepared for Euro-2012. Government Portal informed.
Ministers of Transport of Ukraine and Poland officially discussed joint plans for communications development during the International Conference of Ministers of Transport in Sofia (Bulgaria).
Ukrainian Minister Mykola Rudkovskyi assured Europeans that political crisis in Ukraine will have no effect on the championship preparation. Kyiv plans to build a superhighway dubbed the West-East and new circular road around the capital by 2012. Besides, it is also planned to reconstruct seven airports in large cities and build new terminal in Boryspil.
In order to facilitate movement of fans during the event, ten new AN-148 airplanes will be put into operation, including modernization of railways.
As it is known, Ukraine and Poland won the UEFA tender to host Euro 2012.
About 400 thousand foreign tourists are expected to arrive in Ukraine to see and participate in Euro-2012.
