The President Viktor Yushchenko left for Croatia with two-day official visit.
According to the President’s press office, Yushchenko is expected to hold a meeting with the Croatian President Stepan Mesich to discuss strengthening on trade-economic cooperation, urgent needs of Ukrainian national minority in Croatia, arrangement of Ukrainian culture days in Croatia and Croatian culture days in Ukraine in 2009-2010.
After the meeting bilateral agreements on trade-economic, political, custom, educational, scientific and technology issues are supposed to be signed.
Yushchenko is also expected to hold a meeting with the chairman of the Croatian parliament Vladimir Sheks and to make a speech before the parliamentarians.
In the scope of his visit, on June 1, Yushchenko will meet with the Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader. The President is scheduled to make speech at the Ukrainian-Croatian business forum. He also will meet with the representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Croatia.
