President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claims that he doesn’t intend to rescind a decree on Svyatoslav Piskun resignation from the position of the General Prosecutor. The President stated that at the press conference in the Ukrainian House.
According to the President, because of the legal circumstances occurred at the moment of decree signing on the Svyatoslav Piskun resignation and Viktor Shemchuk appointment to the position of the General Prosecutor, he followed only the legal principles.
“I do not intend to cancel my decree in the interests of Svyatoslav Piskun. The President’s actions were irreproachable,” Yushenko noted.
According to him, if anyone wants to make that as a political demand, then it will be unacceptable for him.
