Kyiv’s Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky claims that the city’s authority will do all the necessary in order to hold early parliamentary elections honestly and transparently in Kyiv, press service of Kyiv’s city state administration reports.
According to the Mayor, “the early parliamentary elections, which the President, the Prime Minister and the Parliament Speaker have agreed, will be held at the highest level in Kyiv, if the agreement is realized,” UNIAN reports.
“I’m glad that the difficult negotiations process between the country’s leadership ended in a compromise, for which all the sides involved had the wisdom to reach,” Chernovetsky said.
He expressed hope that the high-level agreement will put an end to the political crisis in Ukraine.
Chernovetsky, the leader of Christian-liberal Party, noted that “the country’s political leaders should follow the law during the elections’ organization and not allow the use of the state’s administrative resources for political campaigns”.
