The Cabinet of Ukraine has approved resolution on Economy Ministry of Ukraine that comes into force since May 30, 2007.
According to the resolution of May 26, the Economy Ministry is the central body of the executive power that is coordinated with the Cabinet of Ukraine.
The Economy Ministry is the main body in the system of central bodies of executive power that provides realization of state economic, price, investment and external economic policy and also interdepartmental coordination on economic and social cooperation of Ukraine and the EU.
The deputy Economy Minister is appointed and dismissed by the Cabinet on PM’s submission.
To agree issues concerning Economy Ministry competence, the collegium is formed which members are appointed and dismissed by the Economy Minister.
