The participants of today’s Government Chiefs Council of the CIS session have appointed Viktor Yanukovych chairman of that Council next year. The first vice PM Mykola Azarov stated at the press conference after today’s summit.
Appointment of Yanukovych Council’s chairman was supported by all participants, Azarov told.
According to Azarov, Ukraine prepares a number of serious propositions how to act within the Commonwealth nearest time. Furthermore, the first vice PM noted that Ukraine prepares the propositions on the transport corridor creation and improvement of economic relationships among the CIS countries, UNIAN reports.
Azarov reminded that because of interior problems in Ukraine, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych broken off his participation in the session of the Government Chiefs Council of the CIS and returned to Kyiv.
