The VRU discharged Petro Stetsyuk from the position of the CC judge of Ukraine.
233 People’s deputies out of 256, registered in a sessional hall, voted to adopt this resolution.
As Andry Sokil, the People's Deputy, a member of the Party of Regions faction, noted that, Stetsyuk refused their to take part in the case consideration concerning constitutionality of the President’s Decree on VRU dissolution on April 10.
The People's Deputy noted that the CC judge explained it because of a pressure which is carried out on the court.
Sokil has reminded that according to the law on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the judge comes to a position after having brought an oath in the VRU in the President’s and the Prime Minister’s presence. Besides, he added that the same law foresees the judge to take part directly in cases consideration which the CC provides, UNIAN reports.
Refusing to participate in cases consideration, Stetsyuk forswore an oath of the judge and refused to perform the direct duties, Sokil emphasized.
