Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Baloha on Wednesday said President Victor Yushchenko would deliver his annual State of the Union Address to Ukraine’s new parliament, which will be “refreshed and reshuffled, purerand more honest than the previous dissolved parliament,” and added that “those insisting he deliver it now are naively trying to make him recognize the disbanded Verkhovna Rada," president's press office reported

Baloha said this year’s address was ready.

“The President will outline the country’s short-term, long-term and strategic priorities and propose concrete initiatives. It is quite possible that the address will be slightly revised to be consistent with all the rapid changes in the state. However, its essence will not change,” he said, adding that Yushchenko “hopes his ideas will be accepted and implemented with responsibility for the country.”
