Experts from the World Association of Nuclear Operator's Moscow office are on a technical support mission to the Rivne and Southern Ukrainian nuclear power stations from April 25 to 28, the press service of the Enerhoatom national nuclear power generating company has announced, according to Cabinet press office.

Experts from Russia, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia will familiarize themselves with the accident response system at the Rivne and Southern Ukrainian nuclear power stations and the operations of the relevant subdivisions.

During a meeting in Kyiv with the experts from the World Association of Nuclear Operator's Moscow office, Enerhoatom's President Andrii Derkach stressed that he was hoping the experts would take a practical rather than formal approach during their technical support mission.

Enerhoatom operates the four nuclear power stations in Ukraine, which account for about 50% of the total quantity of electricity generated in the country.
