Victor Yushchenko has sent a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych to say he is worried about the situation in Ukraine’s judicial system. It isinsufficiently financed and almost no measures have been taken so far to adapt it to the European standards, he added, according to president's press office.
He asked the PM to personally consider an appeal by the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the Council of Justices of Ukraine and the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine and increase spending on the judicial branch when proposing changes to this year’s budget.
