The European Parliament means to discuss situation in Ukraine at an April 25 sitting in Strasbourg, France. Don't expect any resolutions, as the situation remains murky, European parliamentarian Grazhyna Staniszewska told, Cabinet press office informed.
According to her, a decision to hold the relevant sitting was taken at a conference of presidents, involving participation of leaders of political parties and the European parliament president. The initiative was aired by the Alliance of Liberal Democrats for Europe and the European People's Party - European Democrats. Meanwhile, the Party of European Socialists insisted on consideration of a crisis in Ukraine after a European delegation will be sent to Ukraine to monitor the situation.
Finally the political forces agreed to hold a sitting, however, abstain from airing decisions before report of the EU special delegation.
