Next round of negotiations between the European Union and Ukraine concerning new enhanced agreement will take place on May 23 in Brussels. The deputy chief of relations department with Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus of the General directorate of foreign affairs of the European commission Madlen Mayorenko told today in Brussels during session of the committee of the Euro parliament foreign affairs, UNIAN informs

“Next round of negotiations will take place on May 23,” she said.

She expressed concern about possible influence of the current political situation in Ukraine on negotiations concerning creation of free trade zone that should become one of the key point on new agreement. According to her, in case the government in Ukraine is unable to function, it will make slow the process of Ukraine’s accession in to the WTO and correspondently will slow negotiations.
