The European Bank on Reconstruction and Development is ready to support Chinese investors working in Ukraine, EBRD Business Development head Yuliya Zilbermann told, “Cabinet press office” reported.
The EBRD representatives have taken part in the Ukraine-China Business Conference "Presentation of the Kyiv region", which was held in the Ukrainian Embassy in the Chinese People's Republic.
Ukraine is one of the main EBRD's grantees, Zilbermann stated. Almost 2.5 B. Euros have been already invested in 120 various projects in Ukraine's territory; these projects cover "almost all sectors". "The EBRD is represented in all sectors of Ukraine's economics", she added.
The EBRD's participation in Chinese investment programs is limited to one third of the project's value. The finance organization deals with attraction of extra funds from other private sources. The Bank here provides 100% guarantee for export-import bargains between Ukraine and China, and is ready to propose a number of cooperation projects and take political and other risks at the same time, the EBRD Business Development head said.
