The "International Ukraine Airlines" (IUA) and the Slovenian National Airline "Adria airways" have launched direct air communication Kyiv-Lubliana (Slovenia), “Cabinet press office” informs.

As the IUA press-service reported, flights from Lubliana to Kyiv and backward will be available three times a week - on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. For the time being, the route is using the 50-seat "Canadian Regional Jet" (CRJ) airliner of the "Adria airways" company. It is expected to use the 111-seat "Boeing 737-500" planes later on. Till late 2007 it is planned to convey about 10 thousand people within the route.

The airline company "International Ukraine Airlines" is one of the Ukrainian leaders at the international air service market. The State Property Fund, the "Austrian Airlines", the ""Aer Cap" company and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are the IUA's shareholders with 61.6%, 22.5%, 5% and 9.9% of stocks accordingly.

The Georgian airline "National Airlines" will launch scheduled flights Tbilisi-Odessa from mid-April, the Odessa (South Ukraine) International Airport sources told. The flights will be available on Friday.

The Georgian airline will also open a weekly flight Tbilisi-Kyiv next week, and Tbilisi-Donetsk flight (East Ukraine) in the third decade of April.

The Odessa Airport is the third one in Ukraine after the Boryspil Airport (Kyiv) and the Simferopol Airport (Crimea, South Ukraine) under passenger traffic volume. This airport provides flights to over 60 world's cities and carries out flights of 18 Ukrainian and international airlines.
