Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev, Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Bondar, Deputy Labor Minister Lidiya Drozdova and Deputy Finance Minister Anatoly Kozymenko, Victor Yushchenko has left for a one-day trip to Lugansk, president's press office reports.

The President is expected to visit the Luganskvugillya mine and meet with representatives of the region’s miners to discuss their problems.

He will also attend a ceremony to unveil a memorial tablet where a monument to honor the Holodomor victims will be built.

Yushchenko is scheduled to visit the Children’s Academy of Mini Football to meet its pupils and coaches. He will then meet with local politicians and hold a press conference, which will be aired live on Channel 5.
