Further meetings of representatives of the Ukrainian authorities with judges of the Constitutional Court should involve participation of the President, Speaker and Premier. This was disclosed by PM Viktor Yanukovych at the Cabinet of Ministers sitting. We will consider this and will agree with Ivan Dombrovsky that the next meetings will be held in the offered format, he noted, “Cabinet press office” informs.
Viktor Yanukovych stated his astonishment on the President's meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court. I would like to say, in order to resolve this issue, let's hold the next meetings with participation of the President, Premier and Speaker, he stressed.
He admitted to improper operation of the Constitutional Court in view of a variety of the so-called far-fetched cases, brought to the Constitutional Court. They are likely to be solved by means of policy, but not courts.
Notably, the President met with judges of the Constitutional Court on March 27.
The President brought 10 cases, while the Government and the Parliamentary majority brought 17 of them to the Constitutional Court in March.
