Faction of Party of Regions is unsatisfied with work
of Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, but will not initiate his dismissal.
PR member Vasyl Kisilyov told journalists.
Kisilyov noted that the parliamentary coalition has many questions and claims to the Prosecutor General, as none of resonance case has been investigated yet. However, if the President submits for consideration a draft bill on dismissal of Medvedko, the faction will not vote for it.
According to Kisilyov, if dismissal happened the opposition forces would state that the situation was created on purpose and the coalition wanted to appoint “its man”.
“We will force the acting Prosecutor to work,” the deputy said and added that Medvedko was appointed on suggestion of Our Ukraine and BYuT.
