Kyiv's authority will allocate 50 thousand UAH to organize celebration of Day of Europe on May 19 in the city. The EU member-states, Turkish, Croatian, and Macedonian Embassies are ready to take part in the event, Cabinet press office reported.
The first celebration of Day of Europe in Ukraine took place in 2003 in order to make the European Union closer to people.
The Europe's Day-2007 should provide a public forum for dialogue and attract general public to have a talk on contemporary issues, and in particular, within the framework of discussions on the EU and Ukraine's relationships.
