Last press conference Ukraine’s PM Yanukovych invited journalists to his house.

The house is situated in the Novy Petrovtsy village. The territory is enclosed by high “impenetrable” fence. The house was built in the 60s as a state dacha.

As a Prime Minister Yanukovych got the house for use in perpetuity in 2004, and in 2006 Victor Yushchenko confirmed this right. The building measures 150 sq m. The Premier did do any remodeling. He says he does not have time for this.

The owner, dressed in dark-blue trousers and light shirt meets at the entrance. From spacious hall you can enter the sitting-room, cabinet and bedroom. Yanukovych’s bedroom is on the second floor. The Premier lives with his wife Ludmila.

The cabinet measures 25 sq m. There are two tables and two leather arm-chairs. There are family pictures, metal trident, small globe, mini tank, sculpture of sucker-rod pump, book about Shakhtar soccer club, encyclopedia of aphorisms and pre-election program of Party of Regions on the table.

Yanukovych gets up at 6 a.m. First of all he does morning exercises – gym is in the basement.

The Premier also plays golf and tennis. Besides, he likes car racing and even heads "Cyclone" autoclub in Donetsk. “Now I do not drive, the guard does not allow,” Yanukovych told.

Speaking about his children, Yanukovych said that his elder son graduated from Medical institute and by invitation of his friend he started business. The elder son refused to be involved in politics, as he does not like this. The younger son, on the contrary, said that he was tired with “anarchy” and joined the party. “He saw me interrogated, he saw all criminal actions brought against me. We were always law-abiding. We used to live religiously and to obey the law. That is why it was impossible when in 2005 we turned on TV and heard invitations for interrogation,” Yanukovych told.

The PM also remembered space pilot Georgy Beregovoy, who was also born in Yanakievo (Donetsk region) and who helped Yanukovych to prove his innocence in the court in 1997.
