The Economy Ministry initiates a Ukrainian-Russian agreement on guarantees of unimpeded economic accession into the WTO, Economy Minister Anatoly Kinakh said, “Cabinet press office” reported.

It's very important for the states to preserve their relations in the process of accession into the WTO in order to omit some artificial handicaps, Anatoly Kinakh stressed.

The issue will be in question at a meeting between Anatoly Kinakh and his Russian counterpart German Gref, slated for early April.

Ukraine has completed negotiations with all members of the WTO panel, except Kyrgyzstan. Ukraine has reached 49 protocols on mutual access to the commodity and services markets.

The economy minister also noted Ukraine will offer Kyrgyzstan technical and humanitarian aid under writing off a 27 M. USD debt to Ukraine.

Anatoly Kinakh stressed Ukraine won't recognize the debt, as neither of the USSR countries demanded it from Ukraine, except Kyrgyzstan.

Notably, Kyrgyzstan remains the only member of the WTO panel Ukraine hasn't reached a protocol with. Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych discussed prospects of reaching a bipartite agreement with President Kurmnbek Bakiyev of Kyrgyzstan, mandatory for Ukraine to join the WTO.

The VR has passed 38 bills to accede to the WTO in 2005 to 2006.

Ukraine expects to accede to the WTO in summer 2007.
