Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko said
Thursday at the press-conference in Khmel’nyts’ky that dangerous ammunition
from depots, located nearby towns, is transporting to the arsenals, where
earlier nuclear weapons were stored.
“We transport rocket ammunition from those depots and arsenals, which located near big cites, nuclear power plants, chemical industry plants and where the most dangerous weapon is kept to avoid different problem,” Hrytsenko said.
According to him, at first they load those arsenals, which in Soviet times were oriented on keeping nuclear weapons. He noticed that there are four such arsenals.
At the same time he reminded that the function of utilization was transferred to the Ministry of Industrial Policy and the National Space Agency of Ukraine and is controlled by vice-prime minister of Ukraine Andriy Kluyev.
