President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko submitted for consideration the candidature of Arseny Yatsenyuk for the post of Foreign Minister of Ukraine. The draft bill on appointment was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on March 20, Secretariat Chief of Staff Victor Baloha informed.

According to him, the President tries to avoid further slipping down of Ukraine into chaos and seeks effective work in the interests if the society and the country.

“The Head of the State cannot allow Foreign Ministry remaining without a head, as it undermines trust to foreign policy of official Kyiv. That is why the President decided to submit another candidature for the post. It is the first deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Arseny Yatsenyuk,” Baloha said.

The President considers that Yatsenyuk is high professional manager, experience leader, who proved himself holding high state positions. The Head of the State is convinced that the parliament will not have any grounds to reject the candidature, Baloha said.
