The Party of Regions stands categorically against early parliamentary elections in Ukraine. The people’s deputy, a member of Party of Regions Mykhaylo Chechetov told, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“We are categorically against any early elections. It is not weakness; we will win both presidential and parliamentary election without doubt. But we are eager to raise social standards for people, it can be done only due to economic growth provided by political stability in the society,” he noted.
Chechetov noted that in case opposition gets early parliamentary elections, it will be necessary to conduct early presidential elections. “Only parliamentary elections will not solve all problems. I think the Party of Regions will come to the power and it will be peace and quiet for at least ten years,” Chechetov said.
“Not to spend money on elections separately but to kill two birds with one stone. We will checkmate the opposition. But otherwise the country will incur losses and we do not insist on it,” he said.
