Press secretary of chairman of the Security Service of
Ukraine (SBU) Maryna Ostapenko declares that absence of a chairman is noticeable
for the department, but does not hamper its work.
“Obviously, absence if a chairman is quite noticeable, but not so much to hamper effective every-day work,” she said.
Ostapenko noted that SBU is first of all a collective body; all deputy chairmen were appointed and assigned to certain courses of work. According to her, SBU body includes all departments and independent subdivisions of SBU, which also perform their duties.
