Victor Yushchenko has called on Ukraine’s young to join the Intellect of the Nation program, President’s press office informs.
In his speech duringFriday'sceremonyto honor this year’s Shevchenko Prize winners, the President said the program was designed to uniteintellectuals to develop the country.
“Ukraine needs ... pragmatic and patriotic politicians with modern outlooks and fresh ideas. I will work to make the number of such politicians grow,” he said. “I invite all interested professionals, especially ambitious and talented young people. Your thoughts and attitudes are a locomotive for Ukraine.”
