
The first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Adam Martynyuk is convinced that today there is no need to adopt a law on the President of Ukraine. He told “1+1 channel”.
“My coalition colleagues are likely to criticize me, but on this question I am at one with the President. There is no need in the law on the President,” Martynyuk said.
The first vice speaker explained that the Constitution of Ukraine has clear functions, obligations and rights of the President. “And it is no necessity to make a new law,” he said.
According to Martynyuk, it is necessary to adopt a law on provision of activity guaranties of the President, especially after his resignation.
In particular, Martynyuk considers that it is necessary to regulate question of the President’s pension. He opined that the President’s pension should be equaled to the pension of the people’s deputies.
