The chairman of the European Committee Representation in Ukraine Ian Boag predicts that negotiations about signing new Enhanced agreement between Ukraine and the EU will last more than a year. He told Monday at a press conference in Kyiv.

“Of course, it will last more than a year. But I’m not sure how much longer,” said Boag.

According to him, it will be a lasting process, the aim of which is to get really material agreement which will determine the relations between Ukraine and the EU with the appropriate principles and for the long period of time.

He pointed that during today’s meeting in Brussels Ukraine and the EU have to determine the expectations of this agreement.

Boag emphasized that the EU wants to sign such agreement which could intensify Ukraine-EU cooperation, especially Ukrainian integration into the EU internal market.

He also added that these negotiations will last as long as it is needed to cover all issues.
