Accompanied by First Lady Kateryna Yushchenko, Victor Yushchenko visited the Museum of Soviet Occupation in Tbilisi on Friday, president's press office reported.

The President then suggested opening such a museum in Ukraine. He admitted that his idea was rather controversial.

“When I am uttering these words, I understand that certain political forces will be furious because they have never seen it as their mission to serve the nation. But I believe we must do it for our grandfathers and great grandfathers, and for our children and grandchildren,” he told reporters after viewing the exhibition.
