The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko considers statements on early presidential and parliamentary elections blackmail, provocation and psychological pressure. He told today at the press conference in Tbilisi.

Yushchenko noted that every initiative should be based on the law and reminded that procedure of statement of early presidential and parliamentary elections is clear noted in the Constitution.

Yushchenko said that today’s situation in Ukraine needs dialogue and consolidation of political forces.

According to Yushchenko, one should not expect that early elections will change situation in the country. That’s why Yushchenko called early elections “way to nowhere”.

He noted that today two political forces have the power and have completely different points of view in many questions.

According to him, if the political forces speak about challenges Ukraine has, than much can unite both Party of Regions on the one hand and “Our Ukraine” and BYuT on the other hand.

“Dialogue of mutual understanding is a solution. Everything else is provocation, blackmail and psychological pressure that have no results,” Yushchenko said, adding that such propositions of the representative of the Party of Regions Vasyl Kiselyov distract policy from solving urgent questions in the country. At the same time the President noted: “though never say never in the policy.”
