“I had a talk with Arseny Yatsenyuk. He said they wanted to work with us on changes to the budget, and, of course, we agreed. But at the same time I mentioned that the government had already fulfilled the draft bill on changes to the budget, submitted by the Secretariat. It means that we has not only fulfilled President’s demands, but also dared to increase social standards,” Azarov said.
Azarov underlined that by means of the given draft bill the government intends to improve considerably terms of increase of social standards – April 1, July 1 and October 1. “If we say that salary level increases by 200 hryvnias, it means that growth will be reached in October 1,” the vice PM specified.
He assumed that by October 1 average wage will make approximately 1.275 UAH. “Hence, the measures taken by the government now will not only compensate increase of cost of housing and communal services, but will also compensate inflation growth. Of course, there are certain problems, and we do not oversimplify the situation, but we are convinced we can stand such parameters and trajectories of income growth of our population,” Azarov declared.
