The deputy chairman of the VR Mykola Tomenko offers to consider in the parliament the report of National council on broadcasting activities.
He told today during the round table “Problems of improvement of legislative provision of mass media activity.”
Tomenko noted that during report of the National council it should be a “concrete discussion but not a formality.”
In turn, the chairman of the VR committee on the freedom of speech Andry Shevchenko noted that the committee has already considered this report at its session. According to him, eight members of the committee voted for taking it into consideration.
Shevchenko reminded that the President of Ukraine approved the report of the National council. The VR committee prepares recommendations on the results of report consideration.
“These recommendations will concern necessity of transparent check, carried out by the National council,” Shevchenko said.
