The Labour and Social policy Minister Mykhaylo Papiyev considers it necessary to extend responsibility of the employers for salary shadowing.
“Salary in envelopes is disgraceful fact. First of all such salary deprives an employee of possibility to protect his labour rights. In particular, it concerns salaries, bonuses, social guarantees and pensions. As an employee does not make contributions to social funds and an employer violates the law, not paying such contributions,” Papiyev said, UNIAN informed.
The Minister considers that one of the possible decisions is to carry out control by the state labour inspections, local authorities, law-enforcement bodies and trade unions. “Responsibility of employers should be strengthened,” he added.
