The budget for 2007 foresees growth of salaries and pensions. The deputy Finance Ministry Serhy Rybak told during on-line conference at ForUm.

“This year budget foresees growth of salaries and pensions. There are correspondent assignments in the budget. We constantly control situation on pension provision and salary as to economic situation. We know that money means proved by economic growth, only numismatists need it,” he said.

According to him, the Government continues work against “salaries in envelopes”

“Very important step was made in 2004 when the Government made fundamental changes in taxation of private persons, having reduced income tax rate up to 13%. It helped not only have budget returns but to reach level of the previous year,” Rybak said.

The deputy Finance Ministry also said about Cabinet’s initiative concerning payment by the hour. This question concerns especially those who work not full day. That’s why we think it is necessary to regulate payment by the hour taking into consideration of budget financing,” Rybak noted.
