Secretariat of the President prepares presidential
appeal to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine concerning President’s right to
dismiss the Cabinet. Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Ihor Pukshyn told
journalists.
“I think that the President has a right to appeal to the Constitutional Court to get official interpretation of a norm whether the President has a right to dismiss the Cabinet, as the Constitution sees a norm – Cabinet’s responsibility to the President,” Pukshyn said. According to him, the Constitution does not explain this norm.
Pukshyn also noted that the work of the Cabinet of Ministers must have “an element of political responsibility.”
