The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko laid a wreath on the Memorial complex of the Ukrainian citizens, died in Afghanistan.
The vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk, the first deputy chairman of the VR Adam Martynyuk, the Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko, the Labour and Social Policy Minister Mykhaylo Papiyev, the secretary of National Security and Defense Council Vitaly Gayduk, the head of the President’s Secretariat Viktor Baloha, the chairman of the Ukrainian union of Afghanistan veterans Serhy Chervonopysky, other officials, people’s deputies and heads of public unions participated in this ceremony, UNIAN informed.
Now the President participates in the service for the dead soldiers in the Ascension Christ temple. After that he plans to visit Memorial complex on occasion of day of participants of operations on the territory of other states.
