Party of Regions will vote for appointment BYuT deputy Mykola Tomenko the vice speaker of the parliament. PR member Vyacheslav Chornovil told journalists.

He underlined that when bodies of the Verkhovna Rada were being formed, Party of Regions decided that the post of the vice speaker should belong to the opposition.

According to Chornovil, Party of Regions was waiting for the opposition to determine a candidature for the post of vice speaker of the parliament. “Political force, which has majority seats in the opposition, has a right to nominate its candidature for this post,” the deputy said.

Speaking about Tomenko’s candidature, Chornovil said: “Tomenko will be good vice speaker. He is very active, not loud and not rowdy. This post will oblige him to behave calmer.”
