Ukraine and the EU are supposed to embark on elaboration of a new intensified agreement, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier told a Ukraine - Troika EU sitting. We will cooperate in a very intensified regime ad the first sitting will take place in early March, he said, “Cabinet press office” informed.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier stressed both Germany and the EU find it important to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine in the energy sector. We have to reach closer links especially in the energy sector, the German Foreign Minister said, meaning new neighborhood policy.
Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych stressed Ukraine has formed composition of the governmental delegation to negotiations with the EU. According to the Prime Minister the new agreement should include creation of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.
