Ukraine will always follow “mutual principle” in migration questions. The head of the department council service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Borys Bazylevsky told today at briefing.
Commenting on new migration rules towards Ukrainian citizens from Russian side, Bazylevsky noted that in diplomatic practice it is accepted to follow the mutual principle. “We will adhere to those agreements and that level of relations towards our citizens and to make our correspondent steps towards citizens of Russia,” he said.
Bazylevsky reminded that in the scope of last Ukrainian-Russian consultations the parties achieved agreements not to apply sanctions to Ukrainian citizens who are on the territory of Russia up to 90 days without registrations and without purpose of job placement.. Such regime will operate until so-called “verbal formula” of application of new migration rules of Russia is worked out. According to him, such formula is supposed to be submitted during next week.
