The Government intends to increase financing of programs of development of military-industrial complex (MIC) by 20-25% in 2007.

The Prime minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych informed today at the state enterprise “Lvil state plant “Lorta” during his working visit to Lviv.

“The markets are developed and we work to increase MIC program by 20-25% this year,” Yanukovych said. He noted that nowadays the Government works out new directions of state program of development of native military-industrial complex.

According to him, special state commission headed by the Industrial policy Minister Anatoly Holovko studies the situation at Ukrainian enterprises of MIC.

As the PM said, in the results of this work the Government will define major directions of development of military-industrial sphere, UNIAN informs.

Yanukovych noted that the plant “Lorta” is one of the potential participants of realization of the given program, as it is a competitive enterprise.

He also noted that the Government plans to renew the state order for this enterprise.

Lviv state plant “Lorta” was founded in 1944. The plant is specialized on production of parts of zenithal-rocket complexes C-200, C-300, automatized management systems “Baykal”, “Niva”, “Osnova”, Senezh” and other production.
