State special epizootic commission under the Cabinet of Ukraine charged the departments to take appropriate measures on prevention of bird flu spread on the territory of Ukraine.
According to the charge, correspondent departments and Ministries should constantly monitor the epizootic situation in the World and in Ukraine in particular, to arrange the operative information exchange with competent bodies of Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Belarus, and the Russian Federation, Interfax-Ukraine informs.
Apart from this, they should control the observance of keeping poultry in poultry farms of “closed type” and to complete test of domestic vaccine “Griptavak H5N1”.
To prevent flash of bird flu in the country, the Ukrainian veterinary medicine service carries out constant monitoring researches of wild migrant birds and also vaccination of birds in individual farms.
Moreover, veterinary services checked poultry farms, bought 20 thousand vaccine doses of “Griptabak H5N1” and determined zones of wide usage of vaccine.
