The law on opposition will differs from the draft bill, adopted by the Parliament in its first reading. The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olexander Moroz opined.
“The law on opposition will be when it is ready. The working group is created. I signed correspondent direction. As the law is ready to its second reading it will be considered by the VR of Ukraine. The context will be different from the current one,” the speaker told in an interview.
“I am not sure the people’s deputies will agree with, for example, that the Count chamber is formed by the opposition. Just imagine, in accordance with the law on the Count chamber that is a controlling body of the VR of Ukraine, the chamber is under opposition control. An opposition can become a power, but the structure of the Count chamber is formed for seven years. Will we then change the officials of the Count chamber every time at change of such interests of political structures?” he noted.
According to the speaker, there won’t be new law on opposition, “it just will be revised.”
