The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko congratulates compatriots on Reunion Day of Ukraine on the occasion of declaration of Reunion act of Ukrainian People’s Republic and West Ukrainian People’s Republic.
“Eighty-eight years ago the Ukrainian people realized its wish to live in united state, to practice one values, to care about security of the country and worthy and prosperous life,” the President’s congratulation says.
Viktor Yushchenko notes that the meaning of this holiday is not only in historic context but first in act for the future, in our cooperation to strengthen democracy and freedom, to develop united humanitarian and informational area, to improve well-being of citizens of Ukraine.
“Reunion is our deep understanding of each other as integral part of great Ukrainian people,” the President said.
On the occasion of the Reunion Day the President’s address to the Ukrainian people will be broadcast on central Ukrainian TV channels
