While the Verkhovna Rada is on leave, ministers of Yanukovych’s government must decide what laws the parliament must adopt on the next session. Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych opined at the session of the Cabinet, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

According to the Premier, the next session the deputies must adopt laws, which will allow the government to carry out the program of social and economic development of Ukraine.

Yanukovych also noted that it is very important for Ukrainian citizens the government to take part in working out a draft bill on basics of home and foreign policies, as adoption of this law will help to liquidate contradictions and equivocation of these or those positions of home and foreign policies of Ukraine, “which are much criticized by the world.”

“We know how it is important for a citizen and the state to be determined. Our people should clearly understand policy of the executive power and policy of the power in general,” the PM noted and added: “Basics of home policy must be registered in a law and we must follow these laws.”

According to Yanukovych, as regards foreign policy Ukraine must “carry out the same policy in Brussels, in Moscow and in Washington.”  “When we read publications about Ukraine, which say that our country carries out different and multiple view policy, a question arises: who will deal and cooperate with us?” the PM complained.

He pointed out that “Ukrainian legislation must be improved, but not changed every year.” According to the Premier, then we will have reliable partners and it will be possible to count on long-term cooperation.
