BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko is convinced that adopted by the parliament laws on the Cabinet, opposition and imperative mandate for local councils will stop irresponsibility and impunity of power. She told journalists in Israel.

Tymoshenko denies blames that law regulations on the Cabinet violates norms of the Constitution. “This law added nothing to the Constitution, it is not against the Constitution, that’s why we wittingly supported overriding of presidential veto,” she said. At the same time Tymoshenko noted that if some norms of the law violate the Constitution, they can be appealed in the Constitutional Court and the Court will “put an end”.

BYuT leader has no doubts that the Parliament will give the law on opposition its second reading. This law is also significant to provide democratic control for power, that’s why we are ready to pay for it high price,” she said.

Tymoshenko considers that the law on imperative mandate for people’s deputies of local councils together with these laws will allow to make politicians “to work not for their benefit but for society.”
