During the meeting
President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Moroz have agreed to form a working group
involving representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, Verkhovna Rada and
Presidential Secretariat to prepare a common action plan of national
institutions, Cabinet press office reported.
Commenting upon the
results of the meeting Viktor Yanukovych noted: “It is significant that the
year of 2007 begins with mutual wish to establish efficient system of power”.
We reject populism and
do not set ourselves unreal tasks as an object, the Prime Minister stressed.
According to Vikotr
Yanukovych, it has been agreed during the meeting to revise decisions adopted
in 2006 by the President, Verkhovna Rada and Cabinet of Ministers.
The Prime Minister
emphasized that all branches of power would begin to work together at
determining priorities. We would be guided by already adopted decisions, by the
Budget Law, for example, Viktor Yanukovych said.
“We will initiate broad
discussion on those issues which need amendments involving officials,
politicians, community”, the Head of Government stressed.
