Ukraine means to attract credits to development of heat power, Vice Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev said while touring the Trypillia heat power plant. "To reach the maximal result in 2007, one should now or even two-three months ago start active actions", he said. According to him, credits can be attracted not earlier than in March 2007 for the existent procedure of concluding contracts with banks and holding tender procedures.
According to Klyuyev, unit 2 of the Trypillia HPP is among the first objects for reconstruction, which would last by 2011 with the general sum of credit of UAH 624 M. (USD 120 M.). The same sum is needed for customs clearance of the equipment and servicing the credit, “Cabinet press office” informed.
As a result of technical updating unit 2, it would be possible to use coal only (without gas) with simultaneous increasing the unit's capacity up to 325 megawatt and extension of its service period up to 15 - 20 years.
