Victor Yushchenko has signed next year’s budget bill on Friday after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Ukraine’s Government agreed to his demand to improve social standards in 2007.
Ukrainian lawmakers adopted a resolution to raise the minimum wage for over fifteen million citizens. Thus, the Government will raise the living wage to UAH 397 on April 1 and UAH 406 on October 1. The minimum wage will grow to UAH 420 on May 1, UAH 430 on August 1 and UAH 460 on December 1, “President’s press office” informs.
